Dr. Cox was born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She first fell in love with Middle Tennessee while attending Vanderbilt University, where she graduated magna cum laude in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She returned to Massachusetts to attend UMass Medical School, where she developed a passion for urology. Dr. Cox then completed her urology residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. As a resident, Dr. Cox was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in recognition of her exemplary care and dedication to the profession of medicine.
Dr. Cox practices general urology, with training in robotic, laparoscopic, endoscopic, and open surgery. She has a special interest in BPH, kidney stones, men’s sexual health, and female incontinence. She is a member of the American Urological Association.
In her free time, Dr. Cox enjoys walking her dog, Sequin, with her husband (a proud MTSU alum), going to Preds games, and exploring all that Murfreesboro and Nashville have to offer. And, of course she always roots for the ‘Dores – Anchor down!
